ArchiFilm

Brief: one scene and two spaces by applying cinematographic techniques. You are expected to explore your designs via 3D modelling and conducting detailed observations and recordings of these in terms of materials, lighting, spatial condition, foreground, mid-ground, background etcetera, as a means of evolving the design of your scene and spaces. In this respect, the layout and the placement of appropriated organic materials, artefacts or fixings should be integral to the scene and space.

Your task will be to consider:

A landscape scene: Made with twigs, cuttings, appropriate vegetation and herbs, etc)

An abstract space: Interplay of columnar, beam, planar and staircase objects without the consideration of a functional requirement - this is akin to a stage set

An architectural space. This should fully consider a theme in conjunction with a programme.

Each student should aim to provide a key image for each design  (landscape, abstract, architectural) and make this available to enable the compilation of a short filmic compendium.
